FAQ
The Answers You Need
Is Microblading painful?
It is different for every individual depending on their skin type and tolerance. Anesthetics are used to help numb the area and you would feel a bit discomfort as oppose to pain.
What is the healing process?
Usually healing can take anywhere from five to ten days depending on the skin type. The color on the brows will instantly appear darker and thicker for the first couple of days. You will be provided with a medicated ointment to apply on the brows for the first ten days. During the healing process your brows will lighten up and blend to your natural tone, possibly with some flaking of the pigment which is normal with Microblading. To heal properly and see full results, you will need to avoid direct sunlight and water contact to the brows for the first 10 days.
Am I a Good Candidate for Microblading?
Individuals who have thyroid, autoimmune diseases, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or allergic to lidocaine are not suited for this procedure.
What Should I Do 24 Hours Prior to My Procedure?
You should not drink alcohol or coffee. Avoid tanning at least a week before your appointment. You should not take any over the counter medications, such as Aspirin or Ibuprofen. Avoid any facial procedures a week prior to your appointment.
How Long Does This Procedure Take?
The procedure itself will take about an hour and a half to two hours, given you will be required to sit with the anesthetic for at least twenty minutes before starting the process. Touch Ups usually take half the time as a result of the hair strokes already being visible. We would proceed by going over the strokes already bladed in.
